1. Burj Khalifa
It is the tallest structure in the world, standing at 829.8 m (2,722 ft). Construction of the Burj Khalifa began in 2004, with the exterior completed 5 years later in 2009. The primary structure is reinforced concrete. The building was opened in 2010 as part of a new development called Downtown Dubai.
2. Burj Al Arab
Inside the building, the atrium is 180 m (590 ft) tall. Burj Al Arab is the world's third tallest hotel (not including buildings with mixed use). The structure of the Rose Rayhaan, also in Dubai, is 11 m (36 ft) taller than Burj Al Arab.
3. Aquaventure Water Park
Aquaventure is one of Dubai's most thrilling waterparks. In 2013 it got even better when it opened four more thrilling slides – each wrapped around the new Tower of Poseidon pyramid – and the Middle Easts longest zip line circuit. However, you can still dive into old favourites like the Leap of Faith, a 27.5-metre plunge that carries you through a clear tube surrounded by sharks and rays. Although children need to be taller than 1.2 metres to enjoy many of the parks slides, little ones will delight in the Splashers Children's Play Area – a maze of kid-friendly tunnels, tubes, slides and climbing frames.
4. Aquarium and the Underwater Zoo
The 10 million-litre tank at the Dubai Aquarium is one of the largest in the world, containing more than 33,000 aquatic animals and the largest collection of sand tiger sharks anywhere.
Rising to the third floor of the Dubai Mall, the aquarium is home to 140 species of sea life and has several ways to experience underwater life, starting with a stroll through a 48-metre walk-through tunnel. It's a complete fish-eye view, with sand tiger sharks and stingrays swimming overhead.
You can also take a glass-bottom boat tour, get wet in a snorkelling cage and even don an oxygen tank to go swimming with the sharks.

The Dubai Miracle Garden is a flower garden located in the district of Dubailand, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The garden was launched on valentine's day in 2013. The garden spread over 72,000 square meters making it the world's largest natural flower garden featuring over 109 million flowers planted. In April 2015, the garden was awarded the Moselle Award for New Garden Experiences of the year by the Garden Tourism Award 2015.
8. Dubai Fountain
The Dubai Fountain is the world's largest choreographed fountain system set on the 30-acre manmade Burj Khalifa Lake, at the center of the Downtown Dubai development in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was designed by WET Design, the California-based company responsible for the fountains at the Bellagio Hotel Lake in Las Vegas. Illuminated by 6,600 lights and 25 colored projectors, it is 275 m (902 ft) long and shoots water up to 500 ft (152.4 m) into the air accompanied by a range of classical to contemporary Arabic and world music. It was built at a cost of AED 800 million (USD $218 million).
The name of the fountain was chosen after a contest organized by the developer Emaar Properties, the result of which was announced on 26 October 2008. Testing of the fountain began in February 2009, and the fountain was officially inaugurated on 8 May 2009 along with the official opening ceremony of The Dubai Mall. On 2 January 2010 the length of Dubai fountains was increased to 275 m (902.2 ft).
9. Marina Yacht Club
Set your eyes on the sea at Dubai Marina Yacht Club. The club consists of four enchanting marinas and offers a virtual centre of sailing, shopping, and distinctive dining. The Club House Marina stands as the centerpiece – the spot where numerous fabulous yachts choose to drop anchor. In the middle of the DMYC Walk lies the East Marina, providing access to the promenades selection of cafes and restaurants. 11. Palm Island
Palm Islands are three artificial islands, Palm Jumeirah, Deira Island and Palm Jebel Ali, on the coast of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As of November 2014, only Palm Jumeirah has been completed. This island takes the form of a palm tree, topped by a crescent. After completion, Palm Jebel Ali will take a similar shape; each island will be host to a large number of residential, leisure and entertainment centers and will add a total of 520 kilometers of non-public beaches to the city of Dubai.
12. Mall of the Emirates
Mall of the Emirates is a shopping mall in Dubai. Developed and owned by Majid al-Futtaim Properties, it opened in November 2005 and is located at interchange four on Sheikh Zayed road.
The multi-level shopping mall currently features more than 630 retail outlets, 7900 parking spaces, over 100 restaurants & Cafes, 80 luxury stores and 250 flagship stores. It has a total gross leasable area of 255,489 square meters. It also hosts family leisure activities including Ski Dubai (the Middle East’s first indoor ski resort and snow park), the 500-seat capacity Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre and Magic planet, one of the largest indoor family entertainment centres in Dubai.
On November 2005, it was named the World's Leading New Shopping Mall at the World Travel Awards in London.
